Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

KSB Law provides Consulting and Training support in the critical area of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the private and public sectors. The Firm offers services in this area to law firms, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, private and public companies, and local, county, and state governmental entities/agencies. In the wake of the recent United States Supreme Court decision, in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, the Firm is providing consulting and DEI audit services to organizations to ensure compliance.

Diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces contribute to the success of organizations. The following are some key areas in which the Firm can provide support to organizations:

Employers may opt to undertake proactive efforts in conducting a Culture & Workplace Climate Assessment to evaluate whether employees feel that the workplace is inclusive and/or offers fair and equitable opportunities. Other efforts include auditing current policies, procedures, training, and other efforts to assess areas of strength and weaknesses, setting goals and creating initiatives, and providing DEI Training.

  • Providing reasonable accommodations and workplace flexibility;
  • Creating employee resource groups and open-door policies; and
  • The benefits of conducting a Workplace Culture/Climate Assessment.

DEI Training is key for an organization’s upper management, those serving in human resources, legal, and compliance roles, and those in leadership and managerial roles. It can also be highly beneficial for the entire employee population.
