Kirsten Scheurer Branigan Presented at 2024 NJSBA Diversity Summit

On January 25, 2024, Kirsten Scheurer Branigan presented at the 2024 NJSBA Diversity Summit on the panel discussing, “Building and Expanding the Pipeline in a Post SSFA v. Harvard/UNC World.” The panel was moderated by Diana-Marie Laventure, Esq. Other speakers included Anna Maria Tejada, Esq.; Robert Johnson, Esq.; and Dean Clifford Dawkins, Esq. The summit was a full-day event that explored the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on affirmative action in higher education and the associated backlash against DEI initiatives across the nation and examined the future of the legal profession through the lens of equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Other panels included: “Young Lawyers Perspectives on Workplace DEI,” “Technology’s Promise and Perils for DEI,” “The Multi-Generational Workplace,” and “DEI Futures: Doing the Work and Breaking Through.” This event took place from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in New Brunswick, as well as virtually.
