The Importance of Creating Meaningful Policies and Interactive Training Programs that Protect Employees and Minimize Employer Risk

This program will address:

  • The legal requirements regarding harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
  • How to recognize inappropriate conduct that may create a hostile work environment.
  • The importance of promoting civility and respect in the workplace and preventing bullying and inappropriate conduct.
  • The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter, Stop Asian Hate, and #MeToo Movements on the social and legal landscape.
  • Issues related to off-duty conduct (social media/protests) and romantic relationships.
  • The difference between legal and policy violations.
  • Managerial duties in escalating concerns and handling complaints.
  • The importance of being an active bystander and taking action to respond to and prevent harassing conduct.

Sessions last approximately 60-90 minutes.
