Creating Safe Workplaces in NJ Politics Through Educational Tools about Sexual Harassment

In an article entitled “Video and Toolkit Aim to Educate on Sexual Harassment in NJ Politics,” published in the June 20, 2022 issue of the New Jersey Law Journal, co-authors Kirsten Scheurer Branigan, Carole Lynn Nowicki, Beth P. Zoller, and Helen Archontou (CEO of the YWCA of Northern New Jersey) detail the need and objectives of a new educational video and toolkit designed for political campaign groups and legislative offices. The video and toolkit, “Creating Safe Workplaces in NJ Politics,” was developed by the YWCA of Northern New Jersey and funded by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, with participation by Kirsten Scheurer Branigan and Beth P. Zoller. The video was launched on April 28, 2022.

Tools like these are important steps towards combatting sexual assault, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, but more work still needs to be done.
