KSB Law Attorneys Pen Op-Ed on how DEI and Bias Prevention Training is NOT Teaching Critical Race Theory

In a recently published Op-Ed entitled “DEI and Bias Prevention Training in Schools is NOT Teaching Critical Race Theory But IS Critical to Ensure Respectful Treatment for All,” KSB Law attorneys Carole Lynn Nowicki, Beth P. Zoller, and Kirsten Scheurer Branigan (along with high school senior, Madeline C. Branigan) highlight the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts in schools, including education on topics such as unconscious bias, cultural awareness, and bias prevention and, in particular, how they differ from Critical Race Theory (CRT). The article discusses youth bias incidents occurring today and the challenges that many school districts have been facing while trying to remediate these situations due to confusion and erroneous beliefs by some that DEI efforts equate to teaching CRT.

The Op-Ed was published on December 5, 2022 by the New Jersey Law Journal. Click here to read the full article.
