Carole Lynn Nowicki Presented Program “Half-Baked: Cannabis and the Workplace”

On Monday, May 8, 2023, Carole Lynn Nowicki was a panelist for the New Jersey Labor and Employment Relations Association’s program “Half-Baked: Cannabis and the Workplace.” During this program, a panel of practitioners who are at the forefront of the evolution of cannabis law as it affects the workplace discussed a myriad of issues surrounding the debate and confusion around cannabis use and the workplace.

The panel was moderated by Jonathan F. Cohen, Esq, Plosia Cohen LLC. Carole Lynn Nowicki presented “An overview of CREAMMA and its impact on the workplace.” Other panelists included Michael Peter Rubas, Esq., Rubas Law Offices presenting, “Protecting employees from unlawful discrimination based on perceived use of cannabis,” and Arthur R. Thibault, Jr., Esq., Apruzzese, McDermott, Mastro & Murphy, presenting, “Managing a unionized workplace, including with law enforcement officers, in the era of legal cannabis.”

The program took place at the Galloping Hill Golf Club in Kenilworth, NJ on May 8, 2023.
