Kirsten Scheurer Branigan. Esq. moderated a program to a statewide audience of attorneys entitled, “Workplace Investigations in Light of the #MeToo Movement” at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick on September 26, 2018. The panel was comprised of distinguished New Jersey legal practitioners. Key areas discussed were the importance of prevention and remediation, legal updates by the EEOC and state and federal law, attacking investigations in litigation, sham investigations, investigators serving as experts, and a comprehensive review of investigation steps such as: planning the investigation, selection of investigation tools, preserving evidence, conducting interviews, assessing credibility, analyzing evidence, reaching a conclusion, documenting the investigation, communicating the results and monitoring/follow up.
