In the article, Lawyer on a Mission, by Kathleen Bird in the May 8, 2006 issue of New Jersey Lawyer, the author highlights the accomplishments of Kirsten Scheurer Branigan in her crusade to have the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA) raise awareness of the plight of women in the legal field. During her presidency of NJWLA, she sought to promote the issues of retention and elevation of women in the law. NJWLA, under Branigan’s leadership, highlighted these and other issues through mentoring, education and networking among female attorneys.
