This Training is designed to help participants identify their own implicit/unconscious biases and work toward overcoming them and becoming more culturally aware. It covers awareness of microaggressions and microinequities and how they can demean and stereotype individuals of historically marginalized groups. Participants engage in exercises designed to trigger a deeper understanding of implicit bias. The Training also reviews phrases and terms that have become part of the current lexicon but are rooted in bias and have negative cultural connotations.

- The impact of social movements on the current social and legal landscape
- Unconscious/implicit bias and how it may lead to discriminatory and harassing conduct
- Different types of unconscious bias and how they arise at work
- How to detect personal biases through implicit association tests
- The role that microaggressions/microinequities and micro affirmations play
- Prejudices and stereotypes and how they can improperly impact workplace decisions
- Understanding the implications of White Privilege
- The importance of expanding cultural competency and awareness of different cultures
- How to recognize biases and engage in specific behavioral steps to interrupt biases in professional interactions
