Pregnancy & Lactation Accommodations

In recent years, both federal and state legislators have enhanced laws intended to protect females who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding from discrimination, harassment and retaliation in the workplace as well as provide such employees with reasonable accommodations that will allow them to continue working.

Employers, supervisors, managers and employees must understand the framework for requesting and responding to requests for pregnancy and lactation accommodations.
