NLRB and Collective Bargaining Agreement Update

The National Labor Relations Act (“NLRA”) protects the right of workers to form unions to collectively bargain concerning their terms and conditions of employment. The NLRA furthers workplace democracy by providing all employees, both union and non-union, by providing employees at private sector workplaces with the right to engage in protected concerted activity and seek better working conditions and the right to representation without fearing retaliation. This session is geared towards employers, HR personnel, managers and supervisors as it will review recent NLRB and collective bargaining issues and how to maintain compliance with the NLRA.

  • Addressing union organizational campaigns
  • Complying with collective barraging agreements
  • Defining protected concerted activities
  • Workplace rules and policies that may violate the NLRA
  • The NLRA and social media policies and activities
  • Non-compete agreements and stay or pay agreements
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • Minimizing the risk of an unfair labor practice
