Jin Y. Hwang Appointed Chair of ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession

KSBranigan Law P.C. is pleased to announce that Jin Y. Hwang has been appointed to serve as Chair of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession (the “Commission”)for the 2025–2026 bar year, starting at the close of the ABA 2025 Annual Meeting. Jin previously contributed to the Commission as a Commissioner, demonstrating steadfast commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal profession. Jin also recently served as a Commissioner with the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession, including co-chairing the Grit and Growth Mindset project (The Grit Project) and Native American women attorneys study (Native American Women).

The mission of the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession is to act as a catalyst for advancing diversity and inclusion throughout the legal field and within the ABA. The Commission focuses on facilitating the entry, participation, and retention of lawyers from diverse backgrounds by supporting the development of substantive programs and services. These initiatives encourage active involvement from diverse lawyers, law firms, and law students.
