Conducting Effective Independent Workplace Investigations Post – #MeToo

In the wake of the #MeToo movement, now more than ever, effective workplace investigations are essential. Employee complaints of harassment, discrimination and retaliation must be investigated not only promptly, but also thoroughly and fairly. Investigators should be well-trained, independent, able to properly assess evidence and manage a complex process. Effective workplace investigations result in remediating inappropriate conduct, promoting a positive and productive work environment, and limiting exposure.

The Dispute Resolution Journal (DRJ) recently published an article entitled Conducting Effective Independent Workplace Investigations Post #MeToo, authored by Kirsten Scheurer Branigan, Carole Lynn Nowicki and Lori Ann Buza, of this firm, and their colleague Jessica Stein Allen.
