Join us for a KSB Lunch and Learn where we will explore privacy issues in investigations including the legal risks associated with various investigatory techniques, the governing law and best practices for monitoring employees, conducting searches of employees’ physical and electronic space, and conducting witness interviews. We will also discuss ethical issues and rules of professional conduct in relation to privacy and confidentiality issues.

This session will cover:

• Different privacy rights for public and private employees.
• Federal and state statutes governing employee privacy.
• Ethical rules and rules of professional conduct with respect to privacy and confidentiality issues.
• Best practices for conducting workplace investigations and interviews while respecting employee privacy rights.
