Post-Investigation Management, Training, and Workplace Mediations

October 28, 2025 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

What happens after a workplace investigation can significantly influence team dynamics and workplace culture. Retaliation remains the most commonly filed EEOC charge and often stems from unresolved tension, poor communication, or ineffective follow-up after an investigation. To minimize the risk of retaliation, and rebuild trust, organizations and employers must take deliberate steps to monitor and manage the workplace landscape after an investigation concludes. When appropriate, mediation should be utilized to address lingering conflict, reinforce standards of conduct, and foster long-term workplace stability. Leaders must also remain vigilant, as many of the cultural or interpersonal issues that triggered the investigation may persist if left unaddressed.

Join us, and our special guest speakers Kathleen Roseme, the Deputy Chief of Human Resources Compliance at New Jersey Transit Corporation, and Carmen Cappello, MBA, SHRM-SCP, Director of Team Member Relations at Hackensack Meridian Health, for a KSB Law Lunch & Learn where we will cover the following topics:

  • Communicating investigation outcomes while protecting confidentiality
  • Understanding retaliation risks in a post-investigation context
  • Legal obligations and best practices for preventing retaliation claims
  • Monitoring workplace culture and employee behavior after an investigation
  • Conducting check-ins with investigation complainant, witnesses, and subjects
  • Recognizing signs of unresolved tension that could escalate into new complaints
  • Using workplace mediations as a proactive tool to restore working relationships
