Civility and Inclusivity at Work and Conducting Culture Assessments

November 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Creating a workplace rooted in civility and inclusivity is essential for building a respectful, engaged, and high-performing team. In today’s work environment, this is not only a best practice, but a legal and strategic imperative. Proactively addressing harmful, disruptive, or bullying behaviors helps prevent the development of a toxic culture and reduces the risk of inappropriate and unprofessional conduct that can lead to claims of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.

Join us and our guest speakers, Michele C. Meyer-Shipp, Esq. and Jamie Zogby, Esq., for a KSB Law Lunch and Learn, where we will explore how employers and organizations can foster inclusive behaviors, address incivility, and use culture assessments as tools to better understand and improve the workplace environment.

Topics will include:

  • Defining civility and inclusivity in the workplace
  • Understanding the impact of uncivil behavior on employee morale, productivity, engagement, and retention
  • Recognizing signs of exclusion, bias, or toxic workplace dynamics
  • Exploring strategies to promote respectful communication and an inclusive workplace culture
  • Conducting effective culture assessments using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Considering legal issues and applicability of privileges related to workplace culture assessments
  • Using culture assessment results to guide change and make meaningful improvements

This program takes place on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Please note that this program is approved for 1 SHRM PDC and 1.2 NJ CLE credits.
