EXPERIENCE

Katie Ann Insinga is an associate at the firm of KSBranigan Law P.C., where she supports the firm’s workplace investigations and employment law compliance and remediation practice. A 2024 graduate of Rutgers Law School, Katie began her legal career at the firm after interning there during her final year of law school. Her work includes researching employment law issues, monitoring legal and case law developments, and assisting in the development of training materials.

Since joining the firm, Katie has participated in several complex workplace investigations involving intersectional allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, workplace culture concerns, and compliance concerns, including matters within Human Resources and at the executive level. She provides key support to the partners conducting these investigations by participating in and synthesizing investigation interviews, analyzing documentation, assisting in the drafting of investigation reports, and contributing to the development of executive-level summaries.

During law school, Katie participated in the Rutgers International Human Rights Clinic, where she gained practical experience in the legal field and had a leading role in the New Jersey Women in Law Study with co-director Kirsten Scheurer Branigan. Her work with the study included research and exploration into retention and promotion issues faced by New Jersey women attorneys. Katie’s experience includes interacting with clients, as well as trauma-informed interviewing. She also has extensive legal research and writing skills, including contributing to a Cornell Law Review article regarding issues on sexual assault, and co-writing an article on neurodiversity in the legal field for New Jersey Lawyer magazine. While in law school, Katie also interned for Judge Jodi Rosenberg in Essex County Superior Court Family Division, where she learned how to handle intricate and sensitive matters in the courts.

After completing her undergraduate degree but prior to her career in law, Katie worked as a data analyst for several years in both the music and pharmaceutical industries.

Katie received her JD from Rutgers Law School in 2024. She received a B.A. in Economics with a minor in business, graduating with academic honors from Montclair State University in 2018.
